CYP As One, an online resource developed by Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust, has been shortlisted for the Mental Health Innovation of the Year category at this year’s HSJ Awards.
An integral event for the industry, The HSJ Awards are one of the most esteemed accolades of healthcare service excellence in the UK. Shortlisted organisations are chosen by a panel of judges from across the NHS and wider healthcare sector, reviewing against strict criteria and attributing scores against a transparent system to reward and recognise the best of UK health care.
CYP As One was one of nine projects shortlisted in the Mental Health Innovation of the Year category, with the winner due to be announced at the award ceremony, which will take place on Thursday 18th November, at Evolution London.
The online resource was launched to help children, young people, parents and professionals to make referrals into partnership mental health services in Liverpool and Sefton. Our design and development team worked alongside the innovation team to help make their vision a reality and supported the live rollout of the platform to patients.
The project team ran discovery sessions to gain insight into the feelings, concerns, attitudes and ideas of young people and their parents, which allowed us to define the opportunity and scope for delivery for the platform. From this, our design and development team, designed and built the whole system, running continuous tests to ensure the final product hit all the project objectives and gave users a smooth and easy experience.
Available on the Liverpool CAMHS and Sefton CAMHS websites, the platform allows just one referral form to link a wide range of mental health services across Liverpool and Sefton, who work in partnership together. It is the first-time mental health services have been integrated in this way in the UK.
Alder Hey’s innovation team have worked closely with service users, children and young people & their families, and mental health providers to develop the platform that makes accessing the right mental health services much easier.
Congratulations to the Alder Hey team and everyone who worked to bring the platform to life!
