The Employment Action Plan enables clients and employment advisors to collaborate throughout the journey towards meaningful activity or work.
Richmond Fellowship provides a personalised, holistic employment service for people with mental health problems. In an increasingly digital world, Richmond Fellowship recognised the opportunity to make better use of technology throughout their services to provide wide-reaching, individualised and accessible support to make people’s recovery reality.
Mindwave’s design team embedded themselves within the employment services, visiting five different sites and engaging with over 50 service users, employment advisors and managers. Through a series of shadowing sessions, workshops, interviews and mapping exercises, key areas for improvement were identified and prioritised.
The Employment Action Plan is one of three proof of concept prototypes that demonstrate how technology can enhance the current service. A collaborative tool based on a tablet, it can support discussion around goals, identified challenges and tasks. With options to review, print and sign at the end of a session, the Employment Action Plan is the first step towards clients truly leading their own employment journey.
